Chiropractic Services Can Treat

Chiropractic care in Bradenton uses an all-natural, hands on approach to restoring normal function and decreasing pain.  Chiropractor uses static and motion palpation to assess joints within your body for abhorrent motion.  Once those articulations are determined the chiropractor will use a gentle thrust or an instrument to manipulate those joints.  The manipulation helps to restore proper motion within the joint capsule which helps improve blood flow and stimulates a response from the nervous system helping to restore proper function.  Once the proper motion and function is restored you can start performing at your best.  Call our office today to see how chiropractic care can help you!

What To Expect From Synergy Medical's Chiropractic Care

  • Initial Visit
  • Treatment
  • Follow-Up

The initial visit with our chiropractor, as with any doctor, involves a detailed history, a comprehensive exam and possible imaging. This is necessary to understand the nature of the problem, identify the root cause and recommend the appropriate care. The Chiropractor needs to gather this information to be able to properly justify care if you are using insurance. Some passive therapy may be provided that day, but the patient is usually not adjusted on the initial visit. Plan to spend 45 to 60 minutes with paperwork, history, exam and initial treatment. We will also take your insurance information, so we can verify coverage for care.

On the second visit, the chiropractor will review your imaging report; discuss the exam findings, and recommendations for treatment. A chiropractic adjustment is usually provided on this day. Treatment may also involve some form of passive therapy and rehabilitative exercises. While it is our commitment to every patient that we will outline all treatment options, it is ultimately the choice of the patient to decide how much care they would like to receive.

Many patients feel immediate relief following a chiropractic adjustment, although the area manipulated may be painful due to inflammation and nerve irritation. Any pain associated with an adjustment is usually fades within 24 hours. Ice and proper hydration is usually recommended following a treatment. You should always discuss any pain with your chiropractor, so that the adjustment technique may be modified. There are multiple adjusting techniques that many Chiropractors are trained in and it may take multiple adjustments over the course of weeks to resolve the problem.

This was the best and most professional medical experience I have had in a long time. Melina, Dr. Lewis and staff are exceptional. I would recommend them any time.

Mike P.

I was bone on bone in my left knee and was told that I needed a knee replacement about 5 years ago.   I didn’t want to have surgery at my age so I decided to try stem cell therapy. It’s been almost 3 months since my treatment and I feel like a new man. No more pain and I can finally play tennis again. Thank you to all at synergy for treating me like family and saving my knee. I am forever grateful. If you are thinking about trying stem cells, do it.

Jack R.

I spent 10 years with pain in my back. I tried physical therapy, shots, and thought that I just had to live with it. I went to a seminar about stem cells figured I would look into it since I tried everything else. My first visit was with the nurse practitioner who reviewed my MRI and said that I would be able to do stem cells in my low back. I had my shots a week later by the pain management doctor and it’s been 2 and a half months and I’m happy to say that I am about 80% better. I am ecstatic that I decided to give stem cells a try. I recommend synergy to everyone I know.

Common Questions About Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is extremely safe for both the elderly and children. Numerous studies recognize chiropractic care as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available to treat musculoskeletal complaints.

Absolutely! Numerous scientific studies and trial have examined a vast amount of data that has been shown support this conclusion.

The “popping” sound that is often heard during and adjustment is called a cavitation. This is created by a quick pressure change and audible release of oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide within the enclosed joint space. This is similar to uncorking a champagne bottle. A cavitation does not always accompany every adjustment, so do not feel the adjustment was unsuccessful. There are many techniques used to mobilize vertebra.

Most insurances and Medicare cover chiropractic care. The extent of that coverage is verified after your first visit and explained by our financial officer on your second visit. We also offer a discount medical program and affordable cash options for those services that are not covered.

Patients usually seek care to resolve a problem. We come up with a treatment plan to resolve that problem over a series of treatment days that is based on the severity of the problem. Once we reach resolution or a plateau we usually release our patients to maintenance care. Most of our patients find that having an adjustment every 2-4 weeks is beneficial in maintaining the structural corrections achieved or slowing down the degenerative process
