For your initial visit, you will meet with one of our medical providers in office. They will review your symptoms, medical history, medications, allergies, and previous treatments that you have tried. They will determine if hormone pellet therapy is right for you. This process takes approximately 30 minutes.

Once the medical provider has determined if you may be a candidate for hormone pellet therapy; they will order any lab tests to be performed such as CBC, CMP, thyroid levels, and estrogen/testosterone levels. We offer in-house lab services with results available in 24 hours. Once we receive your lab results, the medical provider will determine the proper dosing based on your symptoms and lab results. The medical provider will review any pre and post care instructions as well as recommendations for follow-up labs.

Typically, your pellets can be placed on the same day as your lab review. Consent forms, recommended supplements, and follow up lab times will be reviewed prior to the procedure. During the treatment, you will lay on your side and a numbing agent will be used to make the procedure relatively painless. A small pinch from the numbing agent is typically all you will feel. The procedure takes approximately 10-15 minutes and you are able to drive yourself home.

The day after the procedure, you will receive a call from the office to see how you are doing and if you have any questions. Women require follow up lab work in 6 weeks and for men, it is 4 weeks after the procedure. The treatment will need to be repeated every 3-4 months for women and every 5-6 months for men.

Insurance does not cover pellet therapy. The initial consultation is $99 and pellet therapy for women is $375 and men are $750. We accept cash, mastercard, visa, and care credit.

This was the best and most professional medical experience I have had in a long time. Melina, Dr. Lewis and staff are exceptional. I would recommend them any time.

Mike P.

I was bone on bone in my left knee and was told that I needed a knee replacement about 5 years ago.   I didn’t want to have surgery at my age so I decided to try stem cell therapy. It’s been almost 3 months since my treatment and I feel like a new man. No more pain and I can finally play tennis again. Thank you to all at synergy for treating me like family and saving my knee. I am forever grateful. If you are thinking about trying stem cells, do it.

Jack R.

I spent 10 years with pain in my back. I tried physical therapy, shots, and thought that I just had to live with it. I went to a seminar about stem cells figured I would look into it since I tried everything else. My first visit was with the nurse practitioner who reviewed my MRI and said that I would be able to do stem cells in my low back. I had my shots a week later by the pain management doctor and it’s been 2 and a half months and I’m happy to say that I am about 80% better. I am ecstatic that I decided to give stem cells a try. I recommend synergy to everyone I know.

Susan L.

My experience with Synergy Medical was outstanding. In less then two months I went from barely being able to walk to a no pain environment.
The staff was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
All sessions were conducted on time, in a comfortable atmosphere, catered to my individual needs for a full recovery.

Common Questions About Hormone Replacement Therapy

Bioidentical hormones, work with the natural chemistry of the body because they closely replicate the molecular structure of the hormones that normally occur within the body.

On the initial consultation, blood work is needed to determine the exact quantity of hormones necessary for your symptoms.

No, hormone pellet therapy is not covered by insurance. However, lab work and examinations may be covered through your insurance.

There are many factors such as gender, weight, activity level, and amount of hormone deficiency. Typically, pellets will last 3 to 6 months. Pellet therapy done 2 to 4 times per year will keep the hormones optimized and balanced.

Estrogen therapy may be used to reduce or relieve the effects of menopause such as vaginal dryness and hot flashes. Testosterone therapy may be used to improve a wide range of symptoms such as low mood, sexual dysfunction, mood swings, and irritability.

During your pellet insertion, you are brought to an exam room and the site will be numbed with a local anesthetic. The most common site of insertion is the upper buttock area. A small incision is then made for pellet insertion. Once the pellets are inserted, it is covered with a small bandage.

It is best to minimize strenuous lower body exercises, walking is permitted. It is also recommended to refrain from hot tubs, saunas, and swimming pools, Showering is fine. After the bandage is removed, normal activity can be resumed.
