Don’t give up; it typically takes four to six weeks to boost your health and strengthen your knees. Long-term pain management may be aided by consistency.

2. Lose weight to relieve knee strain.

When we walk, sit, or stand, our knees provide support. They are exposed to a great deal of wear and tear in our lives. If you’re overweight, losing weight will make it easier for your knees to work.

Your physical therapy would most likely take three months to complete. However, you can continue physical therapy exercises at home for long-term performance. Physical therapy will help you control the pain in the long run by strengthening your joints and teaching you how to walk.

4. Joint Supplements

Some people who suffer from knee pain take glucosamine and chondroitin supplements. These are cartilage-derived substances that help to preserve cartilage structure and delay joint cartilage degradation.

Higher doses of supplements have been shown to alleviate pain in about 60% of people who take them. Although this number isn’t huge, it might be worth a shot for some as an alternative to surgery. It can take up to 6 weeks to feel a difference because they are used by the body to make cartilage.

Your body produces hyaluronic acid on its own. It’s a lubricant that protects the joints from wear and tear by lubricating them. Consider it a kind of knee shock absorber.

More hyaluronic acid can be inserted into your knees to help improve your body’s natural supply. More hyaluronic acid in your diet can help protect your knees and relieve pain.

Though these injections may provide substantial pain relief, you may need multiple injections over a few weeks to see results.
