Peripheral Neuropathy

Try A New Solution For Neuropathy

What is peripheral neuropathy?

Peripheral neuropathy is a condition caused from damaged nerve endings. These nerve endings are usually in the feet, lower legs, and/or hands. Some symptoms of peripheral neuropathy can include burning, tingling, throbbing, numbness, tightness, or all of the above. It can also cause balance issues and sleep disturbance. Peripheral neuropathy can stem from diseases such as diabetes, trauma, autoimmune disorders, nutritional deficiencies, or chemotherapy drugs. Some cases of peripheral neuropathy have no known cause and are considered idiopathic. Current treatments are centered on symptom management and include the use of medications such as Gabapentin, Neurontin, Cymbalta, Lyrica, or even narcotic medications such as Oxycodone or Hydrocodone. These medications cover up the symptoms while the neuropathy condition progresses.

What is the K-Laser?

The K-Laser is a powerful Class IV laser which is able to penetrate the skin and begin to heal the nerve endings damaged by peripheral neuropathy. The K-Laser provides increased blood flow to the nerves and energizes the cells, which then accelerates the healing process. It is a natural, effective, painless, non-medication, and non-invasive approach to treating peripheral neuropathy. Many patients feel an improvement in symptoms in as little at 3 treatments!

How long are the treatments?

The treatments last approximately 30 minutes and are done twice per week for a total of 8 weeks. After each set of three treatments, there is a re-examination to document the progress made with the treatment.

Is it painful?

No, many patients feel some slight warmth with the application of the laser.

Is there any downtime?

No, patients may resume their normal activities immediately after the treatment.

How effective is this treatment?

Very effective! For a well qualified patient, our success rate is over 90%!

How long do the treatments last?

While every patient is different, many patients maintain their improvement for up to 12 months or more.

How can I get started?

It all starts with a complimentary consultation in which you will meet with our medical provider and discuss your history, medications, and previous treatments. If you may be a good candidate for this treatment, an exam will be performed to determine the extent of the peripheral neuropathy damage. Most major insurances, including Medicare, cover this exam with an office visit co-pay or coinsurance. Once our medical provider decides the appropriate treatment program for you, we can get started the same day in most cases!

Does K-Laser work for anything else?

In addition to peripheral neuropathy, the K-Laser works extremely well with arthritis and arthritic joint pain. Low back, neck conditions, hips, knees and elbows also respond especially well to K-Laser therapy.
