how it works
What To Expect From Synergy Medical's PRP Hair Restoration
You will meet with our aesthetic nurse practitioner who will review your medical history, medications and allergies, previous treatments, amount of hair loss or thinning, and your goals. Since hair loss has many causes, a thorough medical history is important to ensure that PRP hair restoration near me is right for you. Once they have determined that you would be a candidate for treatment, pre-treatment instructions will be given.
On the day of the treatment, you will arrive with a clean scalp and hair. A small amount of blood will be drawn from your vein and placed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet rich plasma. During this time, your scalp will be cleansed and marked at the injections sites. These sites are approximately 2cm apart over the affected area. Most patients receive the injections without any numbing but there is the option of using our Pro-Nox nitrous oxide for pain management or topical numbing cream. The PRP is then injected into the scalp and this process takes about 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area.
There is minimal downtime with the PRP hair restoration. The scalp may be tender after treatment. It is recommended to take Tylenol following the procedure. You may take a warm shower without shampoo or conditioner the evening of the procedure and will want to wait a day or two to startyour typical hair maintenance.
Treatment protocol is once a month for the first 3 months followed by maintenance treatments every 6 months to a year for continued stimulation of the hair follicle. Results are usually
noticeable around 2-3 months after the first treatment. PRP hair restoration may be a part of a multi-treatment plan which may include topical or oral medications meant to promote hair growth.

Some Of Our Success Stories
This was the best and most professional medical experience I have had in a long time. Melina, Dr. Lewis and staff are exceptional. I would recommend them any time.
I was bone on bone in my left knee and was told that I needed a knee replacement about 5 years ago. I didn’t want to have surgery at my age so I decided to try stem cell therapy. It’s been almost 3 months since my treatment and I feel like a new man. No more pain and I can finally play tennis again. Thank you to all at synergy for treating me like family and saving my knee. I am forever grateful. If you are thinking about trying stem cells, do it.
I spent 10 years with pain in my back. I tried physical therapy, shots, and thought that I just had to live with it. I went to a seminar about stem cells figured I would look into it since I tried everything else. My first visit was with the nurse practitioner who reviewed my MRI and said that I would be able to do stem cells in my low back. I had my shots a week later by the pain management doctor and it’s been 2 and a half months and I’m happy to say that I am about 80% better. I am ecstatic that I decided to give stem cells a try. I recommend synergy to everyone I know.
My experience with Synergy Medical was outstanding. In less then two months I went from barely being able to walk to a no pain environment.
The staff was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
All sessions were conducted on time, in a comfortable atmosphere, catered to my individual needs for a full recovery.
Common Questions About PRP Hair Restoration Treatments
People with thinning hair, bald spots, hair loss, or poor hair growth may benefit from PRP hair restoration. Those suffering from androgenic alopecia, also known as male pattern balding, or alopecia areata are the most commonly treated.
Results are typically seen 2-3 months after the first treatment as the PRP stimulates the hair follicles.
Maintenance treatments are recommended around 6 months to 1 year after the initial series. If there has been a gap longer than a year, the initial series may need to be completed again.
There is minimal downtime. You can resume normal activity the next day including shampooing or other hair maintenance. It is recommended to wait 72 hours to color or perm the hair. It is common to have some soreness at the treated area which typically can be managed with Tylenol.
PRP treatments are not recommended in those with blood or platelet disorders, active infection, or those on anticoagulant therapy.
